The subsidy total and the state contribution as well as the jobs projection were cited in various news accounts and in a February 5, 2003 press release issued by Gov. Rick Perry (online at http://governor.state.tx.us/news/press-release/4371/). The city and county portions were cited in news articles such as: William Pack, "Incentives method OK'd," San Antonio Express-News, February 21, 2003.
The package included $60 million from the state ($27 million for training, $15 million for infrastructure and $18 million for employment services) and the remainder from the city and the county in the form of property tax abatements, land, site preparation and a training facility. The main Subsidy Tracker data includes a $4.85 million San Antonio property tax abatement entry and a $7.6 million Skills Development Fund entry, both for 2010.
