Subsidy Tracker Individual Entry
Student Film: The Aspire Media Program (AMP) is a Missoula based student-led job modeling media arts program. Students create the entire production, from start to finish, script writing, acting, make-up, music, lighting, editing, and even marketing. Entering its fourth year, AMP students are planning on producing the fourth installment to their Zombies In Zootown series. Zombies in Zootown is an entirely student-based production that has run consecutively the past three years. The 2017-2018 movie, "Zombies In Zootown 3: Sanity Not Included," is the continuing story about a group of resourceful home schoolers that are caught in a zombie apocalypse who must use their wits to survive and their skills to find the source, and the cure, of the zombie "outbreak." The production team is made up of AMP students, and is supervised by local, experienced filmmaker and director, John Nilles. Past productions have included other notable local experts in the media arts field such as Nina Alviar (Nina Alviar Makeup Artistry) and Nathan Zavalney (Missoula SoundWorks). Students have also partnered with associates at MCAT (Missoula Community Access Television) for mentorship in use of green screen, equipment, production and acting guidance. All acting talent, directors, scripters, costuming and makeup artisans, tech crews (lighting, sound, grips) are students.
