Project Description: Stupp is pursuing an optimization plan for its pipe manufacturing facilities. The project will entail a large purchase of new machinery and machinery upgrades, installation costs and supporting site improvements. In executing this investment package, Stupp will modernize an older facility while upgrading the capabilities of a newer facility. Taken together, the investment package is designed to improve Stupp's cost position, capabilities and overall competitiveness in the industry. Examples of the machinery being added, and improvements being made to our facilities include the following. Modernization of the older facility include upgrading the pipe forming equipment, mill tooling, motors, gearboxes, electrical, control systems, improved raw material guiding systems, and pipe handling conveyors. Upgrades to the capabilities of the newer facility include installing a new welding line, pipe transport equipment, sophisticated control systems, improved raw material handling equipment, and new inspection equipment.
