Project Description: Dynamic Fuels is building North America?s first renewable, synthetic fuels plant in Geismar, Louisiana, near Baton Rouge, utilizing its technology to turn animal byproducts such as beef tallow and pork and chicken fat into renewable diesel. The joint-venture between Tyson Foods and Syntroleum is investing more than $160 million for a 75-million-gallon-per-year plant that will be the first of its kind. More than 300 jobs will be created, providing both a positive impact on the local economy and clean, environmentally friendly fuel. The plant is designed to produce a nominal 5,000 barrels per day or approximately 75 million gallons per year of finished products. We will use a mixture of low-cost feedstocks delivered to the plant by a combination of rail and truck. The primary product is diesel fuel with the co-production of naphtha and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG). Naphtha and LPG may be shipped to the local gas plants via pipeline.
