Project Description: Clean Hydrogen Works (CHW) is developing an integrated net-zero blue hydrogen project to fulfil the world urgent need for clean, sustainable, affordable, and scalable energy solutions to transition to a Net Zero future. The project will consist of a multi-block, world-scale, net-zero blue hydrogen / ammonia production and export facility in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. A block (the company's internal description) consists of 3 process trains each producing hydrogen/ammonia and this application covers two blocks (or six trains). Each block will have a production capacity of 3.6 million metric tonnes of blue ammonia per annum for export. Some examples of the machinery & equipment to be purchased for this project includes major items such as boilers, pumps, cooling towers, compressors, piping, valves, fittings, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow gauges, transmitters), storage tanks, electrical infrastructure, pipe racks, and product loadout equipment. Some of the buildings to be constructed include a central control room, MCC buildings, electrical rack rooms, remote instrument enclosures, workshops, labs, warehouses and storage buildings. The planned construction initially is for 2 blocks of process with supplemental blocks targeted for future expansion. The first block is targeted to commence construction in 2024 with the 2nd block commencing construction 12 to 18 months after the start of the first block. The total capital cost of construction is projected to be approximately $7.5 billion dollars. The construction duration is 36 months per block. During construction the project will employ up to 1500 construction workers and once both blocks are fully operational, will employ up to 350 direct employees.
