Notes: The project is to mine rare metals available only in a few locations across the globe, including in southeast Nebraska. Subsidy amount represents the maximum state tax abatement the corporation could receive over 10 years. The project is to create 436 permanent jobs (182 mining jobs and 224 jobs associated with the metal manufacturing operations) and 1,200 construction jobs during three-year construction phase. Investment is valued at $1.1 billion during initial phase and $7.7 billion over 30 years. News articles reported that the company still needs to raise significant capital to build the mine.
