The main subsidy was a no-interest $75 million loan from the state in connection with company plans to build up to five facilities. The first one, in Columbus, started production in November 2012. The company also negotiated property tax abatements with several localities, the value of which is not available. KiOR is also seeking a federal loan guarantee.
