Project Description: Sarah's Circle will consist of new construction of a six-story elevated supportive housing development that will contain 38 permanent studio apartments for individuals with a history of chronic homelessness, and a 50-bed interim housing shelter on the second floor. Building amenities will include case management offices, group meeting rooms, and private consultation rooms, a computer lab, laundry facilities, donations closet, storage, and a commercial grade kitchen and congregate dining hall. All 38 apartments will receive rental assistance through the Chicago Housing Authority's Project Rental Assistance (PRA) program, or HUD's Continuum of Care programs. The supportive services budget will be supported through a combination of funds from the Department of Family and Supportive Services, as well as various foundations which includes but is not limited to United Way, Polk Bros, and the Chicago Blackhawks. The developer for this transaction is Sarah's Circle, a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit corporation, and Brinshore Development, LLC is the developer's consultant.
