Subsidy Tracker Individual Entry
tire making plant
2003 to 2007 subsidies were obtained by Good Job First through a freedom of information request. 2008 to present subsidies are taken from Allen County's tax abatement disclosure documents available at http://www.allencounty.us/property-tax-division-and-deductions/abatements. All of the entries are available in Subsidy Tracker by searching the company name and Allen County's Personal Property Tax Abatement and Real Property Tax Abatement. For information on the 2008 upgrade, see for example: Kevin Leininger, "Woodburn Goodrich to expand: $53 million investment likely will create 60 new jobs at tire plant," The News-Sentinel, June 28, 2008.
The subsidy package represents the sum of real and personal property tax abetments that the company has received from Allan County since 2003 for its plant. The total includes abatements granted for various expansions and upgrades over this time; for example a 2008 upgrade to the Woodburn plant. Because the total of this package is based on the actual abatement received, it will increase over time. The figure does not include state subsidies provided to the company for the operation of the plant. The subsidy year represents the year when the first data is available. Overlaps with main Subsidy Tracker data: 14 entries for the company for Allen County?s Personal Property Tax Abatement and Real Property Tax Abatements between 2003 and 2016.
